RP Guide
Once you have a character accepted in the game, you have the option of being a member of the mailing list or the devART group. From there, you can reach out to other players to plan stories and get writing!
Your first story is usually an Awakening story. If you do not have a guardian, check the cast to see what guardians are on your team, reach out to a player, and start writing. (If you're new to the game, the GM may arrange an awakening story to help get you started.)

Where are stories written?
You can write stories anywhere you like! A few of the most common options:
- Reserve a mailing list. We have a number of Yahoo groups created as places to write stories.
- Google doc. A popular method, makes it easy to edit as you go!
- devART comment chain. If all story participants are on dA, you can write your story in a comment chain. We recommend using a scrap post or a journal.
- Private e-mail chain. Feel free to conduct your stories in private, e-mailing back and forth. Please CC the main e-mail unless you're planning on compiling it yourself.
- Instant messenger. AIM, Gchat, or Yahoo are just a few of the instant messenger options available. Note that these methods may involve character limits on messages, and that you'll have to turn on logging and send the log to the main e-mail unless you are compiling it yourself.
Story Categories
There are two categories of story.
There are three types of main story.
- Main Story - Anything involving transforming, fighting, shards, introducing new characters. You must inform the GM before starting a main story.
- Side Story - Social interactions between senshi, solo stories about senshi and their NPCs, basically anything not involving transforming and fighting and stuff. You do not have to inform the GM before starting a side story.
There are three types of main story.
- Awakening or Introduction - Whenever a new senshi appears, they must be awakened by an existing guardian or introduced to the existence of the team. Awakening and Introduction stories may also incorporate battles!
- Battle - Senshi from opposing teams encounter one another and a fight ensues. A classic scenario involves senshi going out on patrol and running into other senshi.
- Shard Battle - Battles in which shards are obtained. They require special GM oversight. More details on the Shard page.
Finished writing a story, now what?
Let the GM know! If you have already compiled your story, you can send it to the GM via the main e-mail or devART.
If your story has not been compiled, send a link to where you wrote it (or attach your chat log). Someone will now compile it into a single story-format post. This is something any player can volunteer to help out with!
Next up comes editing. Fixing typos and correcting grammatical errors. Editing may be done while compiling. Editing can only be done by players with a strong grasp of the technical rules of writing. (Whether or not you are approved to edit is based upon your application writing sample.)
Finally, the completed story is posted up on dA and the website! People read it, maybe comment on it, and the process begins anew.
